Captain America: Civil War is immediately distinctive because it doesn’t have “The” in the subheading. So is Steve Rogers third outing as slick, refined and cutback as the new title? Well, I’m gonna tell ya.

In villain news this week, leaked set photos of the new Captain America movie have emerged revealing Frank Grillo in full costume as Crossbones. I don’t blame you for not knowing who he is, but believe me, he could play a pivotal role in the next phase of Marvel’s super hero plans.
Review: Captain America – The Winter Soldier
I think it’s fair to say that Captain America: The First Avenger was the worst of the Phase 1 Marvel movies. Unlike Iron Man which snap, crackled and popped with wit, charisma and action, it instead merely regurgitated the typical action movie trope of an incapable man miraculously transformed into a killing machine.
Yet three years later, the tables have turned: Iron Man 3, despite being helmed by genius Shane Black (Predator, Lethal Weapon), was overblown, uninteresting, and is thus far the worst addition to Phase 2. On the other hand, Captain America 2: the Winter Soldier is easily the best.
Guardians of the Galaxy Trailer – Coming February?
Marvel’s Phase 2 plans are moving into a higher gear: Avengers 2: The Age of Ultron has begun filming and is being primed for release on May 1st 2015. Captain America: The Winter Soldier has debuted a fantastic new trailer, and is out next month. The Ant-Man movie is a thing. But the most buzz is surrounding the new kids on the interstellar block – the Guardians of the Galaxy.
