Captain America: Civil War is immediately distinctive because it doesn’t have “The” in the subheading. So is Steve Rogers third outing as slick, refined and cutback as the new title? Well, I’m gonna tell ya.

Review: Captain America – The First Avenger
In my review for the fantastic Captain America: The Winter Soldier I said some pretty shitty things about The First Avenger. But after recent viewings of Thor 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy, I thought I’d give it another shot. And miraculously, the second viewing left me pleasantly surprised.
Deadpool Test Footage Released
It’s fair to say that X-Men Origins: Wolverine was all kinds of terrible. It couldn’t decide whether it was deadly serious or popcorn silly. Plus the CGI effects were 1980’s lame, and it alienated many nerd fans with it’s needless meddling with the X-Canon. A saving grace, however, was the inclusion of Ryan Reynolds (Blade Trinity, Green Lantern) as Wade Wilson, AKA Deadpool. While he apparently died at the end, we all hoped it wouldn’t be the last we’d see of the wise-cracking, fourth-wall-breaking super assassin.
Thankfully, Fox were well ahead of us.
X-Men: Days of Future Past Review
May has been a pretty mental month for movie releases – Amazing Spiderman 2, Godzilla, Sabotage, Neighbours; it’s already shaping up to be a great summer for blockbusters and we’re not even in June yet. And now the fifth X-Men installment (or seventh for the purists) is finally here and undoubtedly about to carve its way to the top of the box office. With its adamantium claws fully extended, X-Men: Days of Future Past seeks to take the franchise to new heights and with the original X-Man director Bryan Singer (Usual Suspects, Valkyrie) back at the helm, it seems poised to be the best in the series to date.
So is it as good as the surprisingly solid X-Men: First Class? Can it steal the crown from X2?

Marvel have had a good year so far. Not only have they smashed the box office with Amazing Spiderman 2, the Avengers universe has also reached new heights with Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier.
And it seems they’re keeping their foot firmly on the gas now as Agents of SHIELD is renewed for season 2, and this years new entry, Guardians of the Galaxy, has it’s second trailer released. Watch it below.
X-Men: Days of Future Past Teaser from Amazing Spiderman 2 Released
So if you were like me and not interested in the pointless sequel to the pointless reboot of the Spiderman franchise, you probably didn’t go to see Amazing Spiderman 2. Or, maybe like my friend Tom, you foolishly left after the credits began to roll. Well we’re all retards it would seem, as Marvel managed to slot in a teaser for the up-coming Bryan Singer (Valkyrie, Usual Suspects) led X-Men Days of Future Past. Sneaky devils.
